To be the ‘change agent’ for job seekers by providing a safe and supportive environment to conduct their transition back into the employment world. To help people receiving government assistance break the cycle of welfare dependency by achieving meaningful, long-term employment. CareerT.E.A.M. has formed lasting professional relationships with area businesses and employers. We succeed by providing our participants with motivational life skills and employment-driven training. At the same time, they gain immediate access to our comprehensive network of employers and a multitude of suitable job opportunities. This service strategy has proven effective at building our participants’ self-esteem and opening doors to personal independence.

How We Do It -

  • Sites in Washington, D.C., Wilmington, DE and Baltimore, MD, operating under performance-based contracts with local departments of labor and social services
  • Sites in Hartford and New Haven, CT serves general public, DOL, WIA, JFES, and various other individuals who are looking for employment, unemployment filing, support services, etc.
  • Serve more than 1,800 people per year, ranging from young adults to older citizens, with respect and dignity
  • Innovative strategies designed to assist customers with barriers to employment
  • “No Cost/No Risk” employment service for local businesses of all sizes
  • Significant tax dollar savings achieved through moving people from welfare to work

  • Core Services exceeds contractual satisfaction rate of 70 with a 91% satisfaction rating.
  • 55% of participants placed per year into meaningful employment
